Our Lehigh Valley Division located in Allentown, PA, is currently searching for a Recycling Attendant contracted by the City of Allentown (work location: 1400 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive).

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior experience operating compactors, balers, or similar equipment preferred (training will be provided)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Must pass a background check in accordance with PA Child Protection Act 153
• Must be cleared for assignment by the City of Allentown Human Resources Department

Responsibilities

• Operate balers and compactors to process recyclable materials
• Handle and operate other related equipment as needed for site operations
• Remove contaminants from dropped-off materials
• Guide residents on proper recycling procedures
• Perform general site maintenance and keep the facility clean and safe
• Follow directives from the City of Allentown staff
• Work cooperatively around juvenile community service crews (supervised by probation officers)
