About The Position

The Recycle/Compliance/EP Tech plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing processes adhere to environmental regulations and company sustainability goals. This position focuses on managing recycling operations, monitoring compliance with environmental policies, and supporting engineering processes related to environmental protection. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for waste reduction and resource recovery. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and reporting to regulatory agencies as required. Ultimately, this role contributes to the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and operational excellence within the manufacturing industry.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in environmental compliance, recycling operations, or manufacturing support roles.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations such as EPA standards and OSHA requirements relevant to manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in environmental compliance or hazardous waste management (e.g., RCRA, HAZWOPER).
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment, particularly in metals, plastics, or electronics sectors.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with environmental management software and data reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead training sessions and promote sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee recycling programs to ensure efficient waste segregation and processing in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and audit manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and internal compliance policies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support environmental protection initiatives and process improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of recycling activities, compliance audits, and environmental reports for internal and external review.
  • Assist in training employees on environmental compliance, recycling procedures, and sustainability practices.
  • Investigate and resolve any non-compliance issues or environmental incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local environmental regulations affecting manufacturing operations.
