About The Position

Performs routine manual work in public works recycling area and all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma with one year of experience working at a solid waste facility; or any combination of education and experience.
• Massachusetts Class D Drivers License
• General knowledge of solid waste procedures and operations.
• Knowledge of recycling regulations at the local, county, and state level.
• Ability to understand and carry out Solid Waste Division regulations.
• Ability to perform moderate manual labor under varying weather conditions.
• Ability to observe required safety precautions.
• Ability to deal effectively with the general public.
• Communication skills to deal with public and regulatory representatives for various recycling programs.
