Recycle Associate Requires a Valid Drivers License Key Responsibilities Materials Sorting & Handling Sort and separate recyclable materials from general waste in receiving, packing, and shipping areas. Organize baled cardboard, plastics, and other recyclables for proper processing or transport. Maintain Recycling & Work Areas Keep recycling stations, repack zones, and operational areas clean, organized, and safe. Sweep, pick up debris, empty recycling bins, and ensure materials are placed in appropriate containers. Assist Operations Team Support warehouse associates with light physical work when needed, such as moving totes, handling materials with pallet jacks, and staging recycled items for removal. Follow Procedures & Safety Protocols Adhere to company recycling procedures, waste-handling policies, and safety guidelines. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Recordkeeping & Communication Track recycling volumes (e.g., weights, container counts), report unusual issues (e.g., contamination, equipment problems) to supervisors, and communicate with team members to improve recycling workflows. Support Continuous Improvement Suggest improvements to recycling routes and processes to increase efficiency, decrease waste, and lower environmental impact.
