About The Position

This role contributes to the success of Prairie Flower Casino through evaluation and selection of the most appropriate candidates as well as promoting the organization as an employer of choice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of Recruiter or HR Generalist experience required. Casino experience is preferred. PHR or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Associates Degree in Human Resources Management or another related field preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish required.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required. Must have an ability to speak effectively to candidates and team members of all levels and collaborate on projects as needed.
  • Strong organizational, time management, decision making, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be proficient with using a computer including experience with Microsoft Office products. ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bilingual Spanish skills a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic math skills are necessary including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, and percentages.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate PGC Gaming License.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews applications and prescreens applicants while sharing our Mission and Values. Facilitates candidate conversations such as rejections and offers. Creates a positive candidate experience.
  • Creates and updates interview guides and other recruitment tools. Consistently reviews processes and procedure to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Creates recruitment campaigns and participates in special projects to market Prairie Flower Casino’s “Be Proud of Where You Work” tagline. Creates and maintains strong working relationships with community partners to build a successful pipeline of candidates. Assists in social media recruiting efforts. Coordinates and staffs in-person recruitment events.
  • Fosters respect for Tribal culture and develops avenues for recruitment of Tribal members.
  • Ensures proper pre-employment and onboarding processes are followed for all new team members.
  • Responsible for maintenance of recruitment data and assisting with HRIS data as needed. Assists with weekly filing. Performs audits of data to ensure accuracy. Assist other HR staff as needed.
  • Responsible for clear, concise, and timely communications to hiring managers and candidates.
  • Assists with preparing and implementation of team member functions and events.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Works the required schedule with flexibility to meet the needs of a 24/7 business and candidates schedules. Works physically onsite to interact personally with hiring managers, team members, and others.
  • Works within all safety standards. Is aware of and monitors for safety hazards or issues and reports to necessary contact for resolution.
