About The Position

The person in this position is responsible for implementing the talent acquisition strategies outlined in the Archdiocesan Roadmap for Excellence in Catholic Education, growing a pipeline of potential candidates for Catholic school teaching and leadership consistent with the Catholic Church's vision of Catholic educational excellence, supporting Archdiocesan credentialing procedures, and providing professional assistance to Catholic schools engaging in the talent acquisition process.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must be an active practicing Catholic with knowledge and understanding of the Roman Catholic Church, its structure and the ministries within the Offices of the Catholic Center
  • Ability to exercise discretion, good judgment and initiative
  • Commitment to participate to a team dedicated to the evangelizing and catechetical mission of Catholic education
  • Ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Ability to strategically manage multiple projects and work independently
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility for travel as needed
  • Diplomatic, tactful and discreet especially when dealing with confidential matters
  • Strong general business, communication, bookkeeping and coordination skills
  • Ability to work in collaboration with others
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Travel within the Archdiocese required
  • Must have a valid Minnesota driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree preferred
  • Experience in Catholic education, catechesis, evangelization, or pastoral studies

Responsibilities

  • Works with stakeholders to develop effective messaging
  • Effectively articulates the Archdiocesan Framework for Excellence and value proposition of service in Catholic education
  • Executes effective active and passive sourcing strategies to generate a pipeline of talented candidates
  • Provides support to Catholic schools conducting leadership searches and owns critical components of the leadership talent acquisition process
  • Plans and facilitates talent acquisition training and events
  • Fosters positive collaborative relationships with Catholic organizations and stakeholders
  • Partners closely with the Institute for Catholic School Leadership at the Seminaries of Saint Paul and other local institutes
  • Manages the applicant tracking system and Archdiocesan leadership credentialing system
  • Serves as the first point of contact for leader and potential candidate questions
  • Delivers high-quality candidate experience
  • Screens applications consistent with Archdiocese Hiring Procedures
  • Authors monthly recruiting and KPI status reports
  • Special projects as assigned
