We are accepting applications for a Recruitment Specialist (Admissions Counselor I).

Requirements

  • The qualified applicant will have an Associate’s Degree and two years of related experience, or equivalent.
  • The ideal candidate will be confident speaking in front of groups and will be able to work independently at times.
  • Travel to all ACTC campuses and area high schools, as well as some evening/night and weekend work, is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • The preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree (Education with focus on Business Administration, Marketing, Counseling, Student Affairs, or related field) and will have experience in public speaking, conducting tours, and working in a college admissions office.

Responsibilities

  • Focused recruitment of high school students, as well as participating in recruitment opportunities for transfer students and non-traditional students, including adult learners aged 25 and older.
  • Participating in college and/or career fairs and recruiting events at local high schools and other locations throughout the community.
  • Scheduling and hosting Admissions presentations, Application Sessions and Next Steps Registration Days at the regional area high schools
  • Provide post-registration outreach and student onboarding support by contacting newly registered students to answer general questions and connect students with appropriate campus resources to promote success
  • Advising potential applicants on the admission process and following up as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain communication with prospective students using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and other recruiting/retention services.
  • Supporting dual credit enrollment by entering and maintaining student data and collaborating with high school partners to ensure accuracy and compliance with institutional requirements.
  • Helping students apply for scholarships and working with them throughout the application process.
  • Providing campus tours to groups and individuals as needed.
  • Participating in other Admissions processing work as needed
