About The Position

Onward Search is a national staffing company with 19 years of experience delivering specialized talent to leading organizations across the country. The Recruitment Manager will be responsible for full‑cycle recruiting, pipeline development, and team management within the Behavioral Health division. This individual will operate as a player‑coach—owning requisitions while guiding recruiters on best practices, candidate control, and delivery execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in staffing, with behavioral health recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience leading, mentoring, or managing recruiters in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of full‑cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and placement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions, candidates, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience working in a KPI‑driven, deadline‑focused staffing organization.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carry an individual requisition load, actively producing placements across priority behavioral health roles.
  • Lead full‑cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and placement.
  • Build and maintain strong, role‑specific pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, and candidate relationships.
  • Maintain strong candidate control and pre‑closing practices to drive conversion and starts.
  • Set the standard for recruiting execution, activity levels, and candidate quality by leading from the front.
  • Translate client demand into clear daily and weekly recruiting priorities, pipeline expectations, and submittal targets.
  • Support execution against division hiring goals by balancing personal production with team delivery.
  • Coach and mentor recruiters through real‑time training, deal support, and pipeline reviews.
  • Provide guidance on sourcing strategy, candidate messaging, compensation conversations, and objection handling.
  • Ensure accountability against KPIs including submissions, interviews, starts, and fill rates.
  • Partner closely with account leadership to align recruiting execution with client needs and timelines.
  • Ensure recruiting workflows are efficient, compliant, and consistently executed across the team.
  • Monitor pipeline health and market conditions to adjust sourcing and recruiting approach as needed.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with incentive opportunity.
  • Comprehensive benefits and PTO package, including 401k, offered.
