About The Position

Avista Senior Living operates senior living communities dedicated to providing exceptional care, hospitality, and quality of life for older adults. Our teams play a vital role in creating safe, welcoming, and engaging environments for residents. We are seeking a motivated, eager to learn individual to support our recruiting efforts and help attract compassionate, high-quality talent to our communities. Position Overview The Recruiting Intern will support the Talent Acquisition team by assisting with high-volume hiring for roles within our senior living communities, including caregiving, dining, housekeeping, maintenance, and administrative positions. This internship provides hands-on experience in recruiting, human resources, and healthcare-related operations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university in ARIZONA OR UTAH (preferred majors include Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or related fields)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional phone and email etiquette
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working with confidential information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Interest in recruiting, HR, healthcare, or senior services preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with posting job openings on job boards, social media, and community platforms
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate outreach via phone, email, and text
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate with hiring managers at community locations
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Support job fairs, campus recruiting events, and local hiring events
  • Help develop recruiting materials such as flyers, social media posts, and email templates
  • Track recruiting metrics and prepare basic reports
  • Provide general administrative support to the recruiting team as needed
