About The Position
The Recruitment and Retention Specialist position at the Arizona Department of Education is responsible for supporting public education agencies (PEAs) in the recruitment and retention of effective special education personnel. This role involves collaboration with other ESS Recruitment and Retention team members to provide guidance on recruitment and retention topics, connect with internal and external partners, and empower educators through professional learning opportunities. The specialist will collect, analyze, and report on special education workforce data, connect job seekers with employers, and enhance the special education pipeline through grant-funded programs. The position requires occasional in-state and out-of-state travel and operates in a hybrid work environment, allowing for up to two days of remote work contingent upon business needs.
