About the position

The Recruitment and Retention Coordinator focuses on both finding and keeping qualified employees for job opportunities at Illinois Bone and Joint Institute. They are involved in sourcing, attracting, and hiring talent, and collaborating with other key team members on strategies to keep employees engaged and motivated, thereby reducing turnover. This role works closely with practice managers and leaders in a decentralized private medical practice to support staffing needs. Supports the talent management activities at IBJI including performance management and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the ATS (applicant tracking system) and maintain system compliance
  • Write and post job descriptions on career websites, platforms, and university boards
  • Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters
  • Conduct phone, virtual and/or in-person interviews
  • Act as a liaison to develop sourcing relationships for internal referrals and feeder programs (i.e. Universities, local colleges, agencies)
  • Lead facilitator of IBJI’s 'Corporate' summer internship program
  • Communicate effectively with Hiring Managers
  • Assist the hiring team for various roles with recruiting methods and interview questions
  • Ensure interview and employment records are accurately documented relative to the recruiting workflow
  • Track candidates using our ATS system
  • Build a robust and consistent talent pool to find qualified candidates, both active and passive
  • Identify key recruiting KPIs (key performance indicators), develop performance reporting cadence around key metrics
  • Stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods
  • Adhere to personal data privacy regulations, laws, rules and regulations
  • Conduct 'stay' and exit interviews, as needed
  • Support performance management initiatives
  • May conduct system support and training activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management or another related field, or equivalent experience in recruiting/other Human Resources
  • Ability to conduct different types of interviews (e.g. structured, competency based and behavioral)
  • Excellent communication, time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects with deadlines
  • Has knowledge of HR policies and best practices
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Team oriented
