About The Position

Recruiting Specialist Summary As a member of the People Attraction and Development team (PAD), the Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for developing and driving the talent acquisition strategy for Axis Communications, guided by strategic corporate goals established by the Axis Management team. You will be assigned one or more business function(s) as your primary area of recruiting but will assist in other areas as necessary. You will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization; and you will be expected to proactively source top talent for open requisitions.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation skills
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies to develop a diverse talent pool
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • 2-5 years in a recruiting role for a growing company

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish language proficiency a plus
  • Experience in a sales position or telemarketing position a plus

Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers to write job descriptions and compelling job ads; identify and recommend salary ranges for job posting; define and train interview teams on best practices; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Create and manage job postings through Workday
  • Use social media channels (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed) and other specialized resources to proactively recruit talent
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, recommending compensation, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Deliver offers and close candidates when required.
  • Disposition candidates in Workday.
  • Maintain recruiting metrics including cost per hire, time to fill, diversity, etc
  • Create and drive initiatives to improve time to fill and cost per hire
  • Manage interview scheduling and applicant travel in conjunction with the HR Coordinator
  • Manage vendor relationships including agencies and background screening
  • Work collaboratively with other colleagues in both the head region and globally to support local, regional and global recruiting and employer branding efforts
  • Attend recruiting events to promote Axis’ employer brand
  • Develop and execute a robust College Recruiting Program
  • Create and manage the Internship Program
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
  • Provide weekly recruiting summaries to hiring managers and local HR Management
  • Performs other duties as assigned
