The Recruiting Specialist will support the Nationwide P&C organization. This will by a hybrid work opportunity in Columbus, OH. As a Recruiting Specialist, you’ll design and implement recruitment plans, and deliver end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing and screening top talent, developing and handling diverse talent pipelines and advising business partners on the hiring process from selection through offer. Requirements

  • Undergraduate studies in human resource management, business or related areas.
  • Typically, five to eight years of demonstrated experience in a recruiting/human resources role specializing in multiple corporate clients or multiple business partners.
  • Experience in recruiting professional level employees in specialized field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of candidate sourcing and professional recruiting practices, including the specialized needs of financial, technical and insurance industry recruiting.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Possess strong communication skills, ability to analyze information and recruiting needs, and ability to negotiate.
  • Organizational skills to plan and handle assigned recruiting.
  • Exhibits ability to assess candidates’ proficiencies and experience in relation to jobs.
  • Proven understanding of innovative recruitment tools, technologies and practices.
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system is strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of different types of careers/jobs in an insurance company, financial services operations and/or technology organization preferred.
  • Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Responsibilities

  • Manages more complex business partner relationships and recruits for specialized positions. May have the opportunity to recruit for positions outside of assigned business units.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external customers of all levels to identify industry trends and support strategic business and recruiting initiatives.
  • Represents company and provides a positive experience, from prescreen through employment offer and up to start date, for each candidate while creating a diverse pipeline of specialized talent.
  • Leads recruitment strategies to address workforce-planning needs for business units in partnership with Human Resources professionals and senior management.
  • Stays current on market conditions and industry trends to allow for effective consultation on recruitment strategies and for sharing the talent market supply.
  • Demonstrates proficient usage of artificial intelligence (AI) digital tools and technologies.
  • Participates actively on projects tied to innovation, continuous improvement and extraordinary customer care.
  • Identifies, establishes and represents the company regionally through professional and diversity organizations and associations.
  • Serves as a mentor to other recruiters, team members and business units on recruiting procedures, processes and services as needed.
  • May perform other responsibilities as needed.
