About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Recruiting Manager to lead our talent acquisition efforts and build a high-performing team in the freight brokerage and logistics sector. This role will oversee full-cycle recruitment, with a focus on sourcing top talent for sales-oriented positions such as freight brokers, account executives, carrier sales representatives, and operations roles. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, commission-driven environment and understands the unique demands of the transportation and logistics industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven track record in high-volume recruiting, ideally within logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, supply chain, or sales-driven industries.
  • Strong understanding of freight brokerage operations, including roles like freight brokers, carrier sales, and account management.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with a focus on meeting hiring targets.

  • Experience recruiting commission-based sales roles in competitive markets.
  • Familiarity with compensation structures common in freight brokerage (base + commission).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies to attract, source, and hire qualified candidates for roles in freight brokerage, sales, operations, and support functions.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing (via LinkedIn, industry networks, job boards, and referrals), screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and on-boarding.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and department leads to understand staffing needs, define role requirements, and create compelling job descriptions tailored to the logistics industry.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for high-turnover roles like freight brokers and sales agents, utilizing proactive sourcing techniques and industry-specific networks.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of recruiters, providing training on best practices, interviewing techniques, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness) to optimize processes and report on performance to leadership.
  • Enhance employer branding through participation in industry events, job fairs, and online communities focused on transportation and logistics.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience and compliance with all relevant employment regulations.
  • Stay current on trends in the freight brokerage and 3PL industry to inform sourcing and retention strategies.
