About The Position

As a Recruiting Intern at Surge Staffing, you will embark on a journey to learn the intricacies of talent acquisition and recruitment strategies. This internship provides a hands-on experience in sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates for both internal positions and direct hire placements. Join our team and gain valuable skills in recruiting while contributing to the growth and success of Surge Staffing. This is a full-time (Monday - Friday) On-Site position that is for Surge Staffing HQ located in Columbus, Ohio.

Requirements

  • At least a Junior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for talent acquisition and recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing candidates through various job boards
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit for internal positions and direct hire placements.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Support in drafting job descriptions and posting job openings on relevant platforms.
  • Maintain candidate databases and applicant tracking systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and priorities.
  • Provide administrative support to the recruitment team, including scheduling meetings and organizing candidate files.
  • Conduct research on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Assist in creating and updating recruitment metrics and reports to track key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of recruitment efforts with organizational goals.
