About The Position

Wagner Equipment Co. is seeking a dedicated and motivated Recruiter to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful recruitment of Diesel Technicians and various other positions throughout the company. The Recruiter will work closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing needs and develop effective sourcing and recruiting strategies that align with Wagner's vision of operating as 'One Professional Team'. This position offers an opportunity to grow your career within a company known for its commitment to excellence and employee development. As a Recruiter, you will be responsible for drafting and editing detailed job descriptions, creating compelling job postings, and formulating effective screening questions with input from business leaders. You will utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, diversity boards, social media, career fairs, networking, and employee referrals to identify and engage with potential candidates. Evaluating candidate qualifications through application reviews and phone screenings will be a key part of your role, as will providing accurate information to candidates about Wagner, the positions available, and the benefits offered. In addition to scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communication, you will build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings. This includes creating and fostering relationships with high schools, regional technical colleges, universities, military recruiting sources, and other relevant organizations. You will also collaborate with the Marketing team to promote Wagner as an employer of choice in the industry and provide regular reporting and analysis of recruitment metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in recruiting will be essential to continuously enhance the recruitment process. Furthermore, you will be responsible for protecting and maintaining the privacy of candidate and employee information, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations throughout the hiring process.
