About The Position

The Skilled Trades Recruiter at Express Employment is a full-time, on-site role responsible for managing the entire recruitment process for skilled trades positions. This includes client acquisition, candidate sourcing, screening, and placement, with a focus on building strong relationships with clients and understanding their unique hiring needs. The recruiter will work closely with various departments to deliver top-quality talent for roles such as Welders, Fabricators, Maintenance Mechanics, and CNC Machinists.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Full Desk Recruiter (2+ years).
  • Strong business development skills with a track record of generating new business.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and job orders simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with construction industry roles and terminology is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential companies to develop new business relationships.
  • Present recruitment services to prospective clients and negotiate contracts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates to match them with suitable job openings.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
  • Provide clients with well-vetted candidates who meet their specific needs.
  • Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, from job order intake to candidate placement.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand job requirements, company culture, and hiring expectations.
  • Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and developments within the industry.
  • Provide market insights to clients and help them stay competitive in attracting top talent.
  • Recruit and interview qualified candidates and submit to appropriate client opportunities.
  • Write job descriptions and post job ads.
  • Negotiate and present employment offers and initiate pre-employment process.
