About The Position

The recruiter manages the entire recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to coordinating interviews and conducting pre-employment checks. They also provide support for new hires, maintain personnel records, and assist with staffing issues as needed. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certification required.
  • 2+ years of human resources experience required.
  • 2+ years of full cycle recruiting required.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
  • Proficient computer software skills (Outlook, Zoom, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, HRIS).
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations.
  • Experience with internal and external recruiting.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills; organizational skills; high degree of accuracy; flexibility, and ability to prioritize effectively in a team environment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
  • Must pass criminal background and DMV checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP preferred
  • Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community preferred
  • Experience in social media recruiting campaigns and knowledge of SEO use preferred.
  • Experience working with LinkedIn, Zip recruiter, Mac’s List, and Google ads highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Full cycle recruiting for all NARA programs, including medical and mental health programs.
  • Current on HR guidelines/ employment law for federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Create and develop job descriptions for department managers.
  • Guide and assist candidates in completing pre-employment process, including but not limited to criminal background checks, MVR reviews, drug screens, reference checks, credentialing, etc.
  • Administer new employee orientations and ensure proper documentation for benefits and legal compliance.
