About The Position

The Recruiter manages the full-cycle recruitment process, partners with hiring managers to define staffing needs, and uses applicant tracking software (ATS) to manage applicants and enhance the organization’s employer brand. The recruiter plays a key role in sourcing, attracting, screening, engaging, and hiring high-quality talent while ensuring a positive candidate and hiring manager experience. This role operates with a sense of urgency while maintaining a strong attention to detail and upholding recruitment best practices and compliance standards. The recruiter engages with universities and colleges, community organizations, trade schools, professional organizations and others to promote the organization’s brand and create a pipeline of talent. This role employs a data-driven, person-centric approach to recruitment that ensures the organization’s recruitment and hiring goals are met.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or graduate equivalency diploma; bachelor’s degree in human resources, marketing, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in full-cycle recruiting; experience with high-volume or field-based recruitment (e.g., caregivers, home health aides, clinical roles, paraprofessionals) preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with job positing sites and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Understanding of current recruiting trends, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate changes and/or identify issues and take appropriate and effective actions.
  • Exceptional customer interaction, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to perform CPR, First Aid, and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols.
  • Must possess a current, valid driver's license in the state of residence, have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record, which will be assessed through a review of the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) record.
  • Ability to attend meetings off site and work evening and weekend events as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting in healthcare, non-profit human services, special education, and/or organizations supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) preferred.
  • Experience using electronic management/electronic records systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles including, but not limited to, intake, sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify and understand staffing needs, role requirements, salary ranges, ideal candidate profiles, and workforce planning priorities.
  • Ensure timely applicant review and movement of candidates through the hiring process by meeting regularly with hiring managers on their interview progress.
  • Source passive and active candidates using job boards, networking, and community partnerships.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume positions by maintaining a high degree of visibility in the local community and attending community events to promote the organization and its roles.
  • Conduct phone screens to assess qualifications, understanding of role, experience, and alignment with organizational values.
  • Accurately track candidate activity, dispositions, and notes within the ATS.
  • Ensure all job postings follow internal standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable employment laws and organization policies.
  • As a trusted partner to hiring managers, provide market insights, candidate feedback, and hiring recommendations.
  • Follow up with hiring managers to ensure timely interview feedback (i.e., within 24 hours of interview).
  • Collaborate with onboarding and human resources team to ensure a seamless transition from offer to start.
  • Prepare and report quarterly recruitment and hiring trend data including, but not limited to, turnover rate, new hires, time to hire, quality of hire, source of hire, applicant conversion rates, and vacancy rates to leaders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
