The Recruiter for the Extreme Family Finding Program at Adoption Rhode Island plays a crucial role in supporting the agency's mission to provide effective and equitable services to children and families in need. This full-time position requires a dedicated professional who is committed to the values and vision of the agency, particularly in the areas of child welfare and family support. The Recruiter will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), to facilitate permanency meetings and ensure that the needs of at-risk youth are met through comprehensive service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in social work or a related field, along with a solid understanding of child and adolescent development and the child welfare system. They will have experience in direct service provision, particularly in trauma-informed care and permanency practices. The Recruiter will be responsible for maintaining client confidentiality, promoting collaboration among service providers, and actively participating in community outreach activities. They will utilize various family finding search engines and databases to identify potential relatives for youth, conduct home visits, and assess the adoption readiness of cases. In addition to these responsibilities, the Recruiter will be expected to maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress, participate in program evaluations, and engage in regular supervision and team meetings.
