About The Position

The Recruiter/Admissions Advisor at Volunteer State Community College is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating recruitment programs and activities aimed at attracting prospective students. This role involves extensive travel within the college's service area and requires strong communication and computer skills to assist students through the application and admission process.

Responsibilities

• Recruit prospective students by making high school visits, attending college fairs, career days, and community events.
• Assist prospective students in the decision-making, application, and enrollment process, both in person and remotely.
• Staff special recruiting activities targeted at prospective TN Promise applicants.
• Enter and maintain data related to prospective students in the CRM software.
• Cultivate relationships with high school personnel and school counselors in the service area.
• Assist with the implementation of special activities for school counselors.
• Facilitate the Pioneer Leader Scholarship program.
• Analyze recruitment data to enhance recruitment strategies for assigned territory.
• Respond to inquiries from prospective students via telephone, email, and social media.
• Assist with special events to attract prospective students to campus.
• Implement on-campus recruiting events.
• Develop and enhance recruitment initiatives that align with enrollment goals.
• Foster positive interactions with other departments and academic divisions across campus.
• Represent Volunteer State Community College positively with all constituents.
