About The Position

INTERNSHIP SUMMARY: Students will be supervised by a Licensed Recreation Therapist. They will have the opportunity to work with the population that we serve. Learn how our facility impacts the community and participate in treatment teams with a multidisciplinary team approach. This is an unpaid internship.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program for Recreational Therapy or other related field and has met the requirements to participate in a practicum/internship..
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Successful completion of background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and planning therapeutic recreation programs.
• Conduct assessments.
• Must be available to attend the Full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM
