About The Position

Piedmont Eastside, PRN Our 62-bed Behavioral Health Unit is seeking compassionate mental health clinicians to care for patients with psychiatric illnesses. Our recovery-oriented program provides opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative care environment. 62-bed Inpatient Psychiatric Center Adult Psych Unit (ages 18- 64) Geriatric Psych Unit (ages 65 and older.) (Patients in this unit requires assistance with all aspects of daily living -Total Care) Intensive Outpatient Program ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) Social Workers are expected to conduct group therapy, psychosocial assessments, and discharge planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor?s degree in Recreation Therapy or related field required
• None.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
• CPI certification within the first 90 days of employment required

Nice To Haves

• Master?s in Recreation Therapy or related field preferred
• Recreation Therapy experience preferred, experience in related fields considered.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred, or Certification as Art Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Performs safe, effective therapeutic patient care.
• Demonstrates expertise in patient assessment treatment planning, treatment implementation, & documentation.
• Knowledgeable in the organization & demonstration of Recreation Therapy programs that focus on self-awareness, self-expression, social, cultural, & recreation development.
• Performs as part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
