About The Position
AvaMed Inc is currently seeking a licensed Recreational Therapist (CTRS) for a traveler assignment at a state correctional facility in Lancaster, California. This role provides therapeutic recreation services in a structured, secure healthcare environment. Schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm l 4/10's schedule | Day Shift | 40 hrs/week Orientation: Mandatory 2 weeks of orientation Monday-Friday
Requirements
- Current CTRS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Recreational Therapy experience
- Ability to pass background check and health clearance
Responsibilities
- Developing and facilitating therapeutic recreation programs
- Documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare and custody teams
- Maintaining safety, security, and compliance with facility policies
Benefits
