About The Position

This position is for a Certified Recreational Therapist Intern. Coastal Harbor Health System offers compassionate care when you or your loved ones need it most. Our experienced team of doctors, nurses and therapists are specialists in behavioral care and deeply understand the difficult challenges you or your loved one face. Our two facilities, Coastal Behavioral Health and Coastal Harbor Treatment Center, are conveniently located in Savannah, Georgia, but we accept patients from many states across the country.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead the recreation programs.
• Assist with direct client care.
• Assess client leisure needs and develop behavioral treatment plans, goals, and interventions which are goal focused and evidence based.
• Document assigned client's progress on a weekly basis in a timely manner.
• Develop a weekly schedule of planned client activities.
• Work with RT coordinator in monitoring RT programming to ensure programming is well balanced, coordinated and goal centered.
