About The Position

The Recreation Therapist is responsible for assessing patient’s leisure and recreational activities, providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups and establishing behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Bachelor’s in Recreation Therapy preferred and Bachelor’s in related field of Art, Music or Exercise/Fitness required.
• CTRS or Licensed in Specialty Therapy preferred.
• One year experience in working with a mental health population.
• Prefer knowledge of group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management.
