About The Position

SSM Health Day Institute (Neuro Rehab) in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Full-Time Recreational Therapist (Float Position) who is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). The position offers a set schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a pay range of $20 to $29.73 based on experience. The SSM Health Physical Therapy Rehab Network is expanding and has immediate openings for an Activity/Recreational Therapist to plan, direct, and coordinate recreational-based treatment programs for patients in Physical Therapy Rehabilitation. Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required.
• Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligible to take the exam required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements appropriate recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital, and the profession.
• Responsible for provision of therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned caseload.
• Ensures all patients are oriented to recreation therapy and provides hospital-wide leisure, social, and divergent programs.
• Serves as an educator to patients on community resources.
