We are looking for motivated individuals with a willingness to learn and the desire to make a positive impact on the residents that live within our community. Position available for Full-time Recreation Therapy Supervisor Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Overtime when available. Pay scale: $26-28 per hour Must complete employment application online to advance to next step! We are a 24/7 facility therefore one must be able to work weekends and holidays as required. All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy
• RTC or CTRS Certification Required or obtain within 6 months of hire date
• Excellent planning, organization and preparation skills
• Intermediate computer skills
• Well developed artistic and visual style, plus a knowledge of balanced and diverse programming
• Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
• Ability to read, speak and write the English language to understand instructions and communicate effectively with staff and residents.
• Possess outgoing personality, excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism; display a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude; must demonstrate understanding, patience, tact and courtesy with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year supervisor experience preferred
• Experience working with older adults preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains on-going contact with Residents for determining types of interests and the development of new programs and services.
• Plans, preps, leads and attends activities including outings and special events.
• Keeps the Recreation Therapy Department apprised of new approaches and systems.
• Participates in conferences that provide the latest information and innovations.
• Keeps the Recreation Therapy Department involved in professional organizations and certification that is appropriate to the department.
• In collaboration with Recreation Therapy Manager, oversees the Recreation Therapy staff including interns and volunteers.
• Assists Recreation Therapy Manager to coordinate need for volunteers.
• Maintains certification required to supervise Recreation Therapy interns.
