About The Position

We are looking for qualified PRN Recreation Therapist to join our team of dedicated Behavioral Health professionals. The Recreation Therapist plans, organizes, coordinates and leads recreation therapy activities. The Recreation Therapist will ensure the program is appropriate to the needs and interest and capacities of patients and is directed toward restoring and maintaining optimal levels of physical and psychosocial functioning. Responsibilities also include assessing each patient within seventy-two (72) hours of admission and completing daily progress notes on patient’s participation toward recreation goals. The Vines Hospital, located in Ocala, FL is a premier behavioral health facility offering individualized mental health and addiction treatment to adults in a secure and private setting. Our services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. We offer acute psychiatric, detox, and PTSD treatment. Our Location: We are located in picturesque Marion County, FL. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy with certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required.
Two (2) years of experience providing Recreation Therapy in a psychiatric setting with an adult population or a Long Term Care setting preferred.
Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required.
Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
Successful completion of Handle With Care training including appropriate use of seclusion and restraints within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process.

Nice To Haves

Two (2) years of experience providing Recreation Therapy in a psychiatric setting with an adult population or a Long Term Care setting preferred.
