About The Position

The Recreation Therapist at Hutchings Psychiatric Center is responsible for planning and conducting therapeutic recreational activities for various client groups, including geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• One year of experience in planning and administering a therapeutic recreation program.
• Current credentials as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or licensure as a Creative Arts Therapist in NYS.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
• Knowledge of therapeutic recreation practices in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct therapeutic recreational activities for client/patient groups.
• Work individually or as part of a treatment team.
