The role of the Director of Recreation is to create and lead the recreational program with recreational activities, hobby & interest building, physical activities, and other events & holidays throughout the year. In our holistic approach, recreation is just one facet of the wellness of our clients, along with behavioral skill building, medication support, dietary teaching, and pre-vocational training. Our overall goal is to support our clients to create lives worth living and be successful as independents in their community. Crestwood Champion Healing Center is a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) located in Lompoc, a beautiful Central Coast city in Santa Barbara County, known as “The City of Arts and Flowers.” Champion Healing Center has innovative trauma-informed recovery programs that are based on Crestwood’s commitment to providing a continuum of care that puts persons served with significant mental health issues on the road to recovery. Requirements

Must have a bachelor’s degree as an occupational therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, art therapist, or recreation therapist.
Must be registered or eligible for registration as an occupational therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, art therapist, or recreation therapist.
Must have a valid California driver’s license.
Must have two (2) years' experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years, one year of which was full-time in a client activities program in a healthcare setting.

Nice To Haves

A current CPR certification is preferred.
