About The Position

The Activities /Music/Recreational Therapist role is designed to provide activities therapy to both residential populations, and therapeutic outings to clients within residential settings. Additionally, the Activities/Recreational Therapist has a responsibility for communicating findings and progress as a member of the treatment team, maintaining regulatory compliance and policy and procedure development for activities. Requirements

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of personal computer.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Able to complete required paperwork according to established protocol and regulatory agency requirements.
• Must maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with clients and families.
• Ability to act professionally in high stress situations.
• High level of knowledge of alternative therapeutic interventions through planned activities.
• Requires certification in Recreation Therapy (CTRS), Art, Music, or Dance Movement Certification.
• Valid Colorado driver's license with a good driving record.
• College degree required.
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Passing a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities
