WHAT YOU’LL DO - Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service as well, service net and recover when required. Welcome guests to the pool facilities and ensures they have a safe and enjoyable experience. Oversee the cleanliness and the daily upkeep of the pool area facilities. (Guest Service & Maintenance). Ensures the proper lifting, pushing, pulling and set up/down techniques are completed in accordance with safety training. Responsible for stocking and ordering supplies on a daily, weekly and monthly basis from Purchasing and/or vendors. Ensures room charges are posted correctly and reconciled with Accounting. Manages all reservations for DBC and Huntington Pool through the ALICE system and ensures guests are met with a Five Diamond experience. - Assist in innovation of enticing guest programs, promoting the facility, and organizing special events as required. Ensure guests are aware of all services and activities available at the DBC and Huntington Pool. Ensure an adequate supply of towels, water, equipment, program materials are available to guests. Meet financial objectives. Manages administrative projects that promote efficient and effective operation of the department. - Assist with interview, hire, and training of new Lifeguards and Recreation Attendants. Re-trains all transferring associates and directs the implementation of all new training. Monitor, coach, develop, produce and administer Disciplinary Action and Performance Reviews for direct reports. (Associate Management) - Administration of all department files, including training records. Responsible for maintaining all the personnel administrative records including monitoring payroll, vacations requests, and scheduling. Follow departmental policies and procedures. Follow all safety and sanitation policies. Other duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES - Promote guest satisfaction through his/her ability to develop and maintain a team environment, placing an emphasis on guest satisfaction, and delivering prompt and courteous service. Coach to and maintain 5 Diamond Service Standards. - Participates in the recommendation/selection and or release of associates. - Assists in the preparation of staff schedules to ensure the best operational effectiveness within budgetary guidelines. - Meets all deadlines. Ensures Recreation has the proper information and equipment to complete department functions. Prioritizes and organize all projects that pertain to improving Recreation and Shortboards departments functions. - Maintains proper organization of the Huntington Pool and Driftwood Beach Club. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Highly responsible & reliable. - Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. Ability to handle guest complaint. - Ability to focus attention on guest and associate needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times. - Assimilate into The Waterfront Beach Resort culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all event programs. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards. WHAT YOU BRING - Previous experience supervising people is highly desirable. - Ability to effectively supervise people. - Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English. - Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information. - Well organized, detail-oriented, with excellent follow-up skills.
