Are you ready to make a difference in adolescent Lives? Job Details General Summary: This position works under the direction of the Recreation Director. Provides a general recreation program for all patients. This is a safety sensitive position.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, licensed associates and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Basic understanding of calculation of figures
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Good driving skills and a valid Arkansas drivers license and eligibility for agency insurance required.
- Paraprofessional certification is required within 30-90 days of employment with training provided on site.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Team members are required to sit, stand, talk, see, walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to personally restrain patients.
- Must maintain a current tuberculosis skin test.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Experience with emotionally disturbed youth preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and leads school recreation classes
- Leads recreation therapy groups as assigned.
- Assists to ensure that the recreation program is an integral part of treatment.
- Assists in planning and implementing special events.
- Assists in implementing Community Reintegration Program.
- Completes weekly program notes.
- Completes leisure skills assessments.
- Completes Incident Reports and DYS reports.
