Recreation Specialist I - Youth and Teen Services (Part-Time) (20675766)
About The Position

As a Recreation Specialist I (Youth & Teen Services), you will: assist with the development and implementation of programs, activities and events; provide mentoring and guidance; marketing outreach efforts, oversee the" Hideout" (Middle School Homework/After School Center) ; assist with homework, and track daily participation numbers.
Requirements
- Experience assisting with the supervision of children and assisting with classroom responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills
- The ability to solve problems and conflicts
- Experience leading activities, sports games or arts and crafts
- Great communication skills (be able to communicate with parents, participants, school staff, recreation staff, etc.)
- Ability to be a team player with the ability to positively interface with other departments
- Ability to bring energy and enthusiasm to assigned program every day
- Ability to work community wide special events including nights and weekends
- Ability to work during after school hours - 10-20 hours per week
- Typically shifts are from 3 PM - 5:30 PM weekdays
- Wednesday availability is highly preferred

- Part-time employees are non-benefited, at-will positions.
- Part-Time employees must have availability to work the designated work schedule for the position and must be available to work additional or less hours as needed.
- The maximum work hours are up to 999 hours per fiscal year.
