About The Position

We’re seeking a Recreation Sales Manager to lead and grow group golf and recreation sales, creating memorable experiences while driving meaningful revenue across the resort. This role is ideal for someone who loves building relationships, thrives in a dynamic resort environment, and enjoys seeing an experience through from first inquiry to repeat business. The Recreation Sales Manager serves as the primary point of contact for group golf and recreation experiences, managing groups from initial inquiry through on-site execution and rebooking. You’ll work closely with Golf, Food & Beverage, Reservations, and Sales teams to ensure a seamless guest experience — all while supporting Grand View Lodge’s commitment to exceptional service, an enjoyable atmosphere, and creating a lifetime of memories. This is a key role within the organization, offering exposure to sales strategy, revenue optimization, and cross-functional resort operations. As the business grows, this position has the potential to evolve into broader property or portfolio opportunities for the right individual.

Requirements

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and confident juggling multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-focused
  • Comfortable working both independently and cross-functionally
  • Enthusiastic about hospitality, recreation, and guest experience
  • Hotel, resort, recreation, or group sales experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with sales, reservation, or CRM systems helpful

  • Knowledge of the local area and resort operations is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead group golf and recreation sales with a positive, guest-focused approach
  • Handle group inquiries and negotiate rates based on group size, timing, and accommodations
  • Prepare and manage group contracts, payments, guest communications, and rebookings
  • Serve as the on-site host for group golf and recreation guests
  • Act as a liaison between Golf, Food & Beverage, Reservations, and Sales teams
  • Create and maintain detailed group files and records
  • Attend sales and marketing meetings to support communication and planning
  • Collaborate with sales and revenue management to optimize business mix
  • Drive Food & Beverage revenue tied to group golf and recreation events
  • Manage executive dining reservations and create Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Coordinate tournament and event execution with the Golf team
  • Support specialty golf weekends and signature recreation events
  • Maintain accurate data in sales, reservation, and property management systems
  • Prepare weekly sales activity and new business reports
  • Track and follow up on group feedback post-stay
  • Monitor expenses within budget guidelines
