About The Position
The Recreation Leader Senior at Horizon Park and Community Center is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the park and community center, managing facility reservations, and supervising part-time staff. This position also plays a critical role in the youth development programs, including managing the city-wide Teen Volunteer Program, supervising an off-site afterschool program at an SUSD Title I school, and overseeing a Youth and Teen Summer Camp site. Additionally, the Recreation Leader Senior participates in planning and implementing the Youth Development program, including staff hiring, curriculum development, and training. The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a passion for fostering positive youth experiences in a dynamic community setting.
