About The Position
This is varied recreational and related work in assisting in the conducting of games, sports and other recreational activities at City parks, recreation centers, and related facilities. Employees in this class assist in the leadership of a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational activities for select age groups at an assigned recreation facility. Duties also include maintenance or custodial work, classroom and/or facility set up, collection of fees, and retail sales. Employees work with some independence conducting activities with assigned groups within the general program as outlined as superiors. Work is performed under the supervision of a Recreation Supervisor who assigns and reviews work in progress for achievement of desired objectives.
