Summary: The Recreation Coordinator will be responsible for permits, facility rentals, and inventory of program supplies. Essential Functions Manage facility rentals and permitting, including but not limited to the Overlook Activities Center, Athletic Fields, and Park Permits, by responding to inquiries, accepting requests, facilitating contracts, scheduling groups, requesting maintenance repairs, and invoicing. Serve as a secondary resource to the Recreation Department's front office operation. This includes daily front office coverage when the Customer Service Specialist is on lunch, or full-day coverage when the Customer Service Specialist is off. Administer Overlook Dog Park operations by recommending maintenance repairs, responding to customer inquiries, and assisting Directors with the incident review process. Assist Program Managers and Directors with clerical work or assigned duties to accomplish programming needs. Assist with volunteer management. This includes recruiting and managing volunteer contact information and scheduling for our various programs and services. Liaison to Manheim Township youth sport organizations. Attend board meetings as applicable. Oversee tree memorials. This includes communicating with the public, ordering plaques, and coordinating with Public Works on tree installation. Serve as a coordinator for the administrative functions of Overlook Swim Team in the Summer Swim League season. Assist with programming and medical supply inventory. Assist with various Special Events and Community Programs. Perform clerical & administrative duties, as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to talk, hear, and see. Able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently, with or without accommodation. Abilities Ability to speak clearly and effectively to the public and program participants. Ability to post information accurately to record. Ability to identify and correct typographical errors. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and projects, with an incoming flow of work that fluctuates. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide whole numbers. Ability to operate office equipment, including computers and copiers. Ability to sit or stand and operate a keyboard for extended periods of time. Ability to transmit accurate and complete information from callers or visitors. Ability to demonstrate tact and patience when responding to angry or upset people. Minimum Age: 18
