About The Position
The position involves planning and directing special events within the City of Goose Creek, assisting with the planning and implementation of programs at Uptown at Carnes, and promoting classes, programming, and special events through various channels. The role includes performing administrative work related to the planning, organizing, and promotion of programs, special events, and staff schedules, as well as promoting recreation offerings on social media. Additional responsibilities include producing promotional materials, developing sponsorship plans, managing registrations and payments, assisting with budget preparation, monitoring financial reports, and providing customer service to the public. The position may also require attending staff meetings, performing duties at other recreation locations, and serving as backup to co-workers.
