About The Position

Assists the Recreation Supervisor and Recreation Specialist(s) with the operation and maintenance of Recreation Division batting cage facilities.

Requirements

• Customer service skills
• Counting money and change
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Work personably with the public and other professionals in times of conflict or crisis.
• High school student, age fifteen (15) at time of applying.
• Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing.
• Maintain physical condition necessary for operating assigned equipment, walking, standing, kneeling, repeated bending or sitting for prolonged periods of time and lifting to 30 pounds.
• Maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of making sound decisions demonstrating intellectual capabilities.
• I will regularly review, understand, and adhere to the City of Cheyenne Employee Handbook and Rules & Regulations, as applicable to part-time employees. These documents are located on the City of Cheyenne website, under the Human Resources tab, and are updated annually

Responsibilities

• Assists in overall facility supervision and protection of program.
• Carries out work schedules.
• Handles monies collected for rentals.
• Addresses sensitive situations, complaints, and compliments from patrons and relays information to supervisor.
• Opening and closing duties of the various facilities.
• Facility walk-around to ensure safety and cleanliness, and to observe patrons.
• Cleaning of facility and/or grounds.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
