The Recreation Attendant's duty is to work with the management team, Board of Directors and committee members to ensure that residents have a variety of activities, events & fitness options to enjoy.

Requirements

  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 0 -- 3 years of directly related or closely related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of the Lifestyle Director to assist with the implementation of life-enriching events, activities, and outings for a large active-adult 55+ community.
  • Have a proven track record of reliability and timeliness.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to process and work with facility reservations and set-ups for multiple amenities.
  • Acute attention to detail when working to confirm contract details with outside vendors for club, private, and lifestyle events.
  • Assist with department bookkeeping.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with grace under pressure when assisting with facilitating events with time constraints.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the utmost professionalism when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Continuously update the lobby TV's with upcoming events and news within the community.
  • Work with Lifestyle Director to ensure community calendar is up to date with events, fitness classes, and food trucks.
  • Oversee event ticket sales and offer assistance as needed.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity to encourage resident participation and enjoyment of all Lifestyle activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors for event sponsorships, food trucks, and other activities.
  • Maintain the weekly newsletter that goes out to the community.
  • Be the first point-of-contact for set-up crew and pool monitors, create their monthly schedules, and communicate important information to them.
  • Able to have a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, or late nights.
  • Other duties as assigned.
