About The Position

The Recreation Attendant plays a key role in delivering safe, enjoyable, and engaging activities for our guests. This hands-on position includes managing recreational equipment, assisting with activity setup, instructing guests, and ensuring that all recreational areas and programs meet resort standards. This position is ideal for a guest-focused professional who enjoys active work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering memorable experiences through recreation.

Requirements

• Previous hospitality, resort, recreation, or guest service experience preferred but not required
• Friendly, energetic, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional service
• Ability to handle guest questions and concerns with patience, empathy, and professionalism
• Strong verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with guests of all ages and backgrounds
• Ability to stand and be active for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform outdoor or recreational activities
• Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the operating season
