About The Position

Perform variety of attending duties at an amusement or recreation facility. May schedule use of recreation facilities, maintain and provide equipment to participants of sporting events or recreational pursuits, or operate amusement rides and machinery. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Recreation Manager.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Work experience in customer service and money handling.
• Knowledge of boating/fishing.
• Ability to obtain Wildlife Services Shotgun Safety Certificate.
• Ability to become First Aid/CPR/AED certified within first 6 months.
• Ability to be trained in accordance with North Carolina Department of Labor Specifications to perform job task.

Responsibilities

• Operation of recreation facility.
• Ensuring the safety of patrons.
• Enforcing rules and regulations.
• Maintaining cleanliness of facilities.
• Collecting fees.
• Preparing revenue reports.
• Maintaining records as required.
• Answering phones.
• Assisting patrons.
• Educating the public regarding proper use and safety measures.
• Performing routine inspections for hazards and/or damages.
• Operating machinery (miniature train; skeet and trap machines).
