Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent. (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility. (required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Publisher, Outlook, and Excel. (required)
• Must meet company criteria to become an approved driver of the facility van. (required)
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds while performing job duties. (required)
• Must be proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions in English. (required)

Nice To Haves

• Long term care activities experience. (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, organization, and execution of engaging activities and enrichment programs for all residents, including those with dementia and Alzheimer’s, and provide personalized 1:1 visits for residents who prefer in-apartment interaction.
• Encourage, motivate, and escort residents to activities, utilizing technology to enhance their participation and overall experience.
• Perform administrative tasks such as initial resident engagement surveys, and maintain professional communication with residents’ families and staff.
• Operate the community van for recreational outings, assisting residents with safe transfers, and complete additional duties as directed by the Activity Director.
