About The Position
DeKalb County is dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for children with special needs to grow, learn, and experience the joys of summer camp. We are committed to fostering an inclusive atmosphere where each child is supported and encouraged. We are looking for compassionate, patient, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Recreation Assistants. As a Recreation Assistant, Therapeutic Program, you will work directly with children with various disabilities, helping them engage in daily activities such as arts and crafts, sports, swimming, nature walks, and team-building exercises. You will provide emotional, behavioral, and physical support, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for each camper.
