Recreation and Wellness Coordinator
About The Position
The Recreation and Wellness Coordinator (RWC) designs and delivers recreational and wellness programming in a behavioral health setting. The RWC is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing a variety of recreational, leisure, and wellness activities, events, outings, and excursions for our program. This role requires creativity, organization, and the ability to create engaging experiences for a diverse group of participants while adhering to budgetary guidelines. Options for excursions for our clients vary from swimming, hiking, bowling, corn hole tournaments, and beyond. The RWC also oversees select Radix amenities requiring coordination with external contractors (e.g., salon and massage services) and leads special initiatives, including planning and executing celebrations for clients and staff. Imagination is key to building a diverse recreational and wellness program that fits the needs of clients in a residential behavioral health facility who are healing from substance use. Any offer of employment is conditional pending the successful completion of background checks and health clearance (drug test, pre-employment physical, and TB screening).
