About The Position

JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the identification and research of third party claims. Works for the recovery of overpayments involving workers compensation, no-fault, hospital liens, and any other type of accident or liability claims. Identifies legal liability, and pursues, negotiates, and settles subrogation, liens, and reimbursement recoveries. JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation. Minimum Required: Completion of associates degree or successful completion of 60 credits with emphasis on business, legal, or medical and one year work experience with coding, insurance processes, liability, subrogation, coordination of benefits or workers' compensation claim adjudication or High school graduate and three years’ work experience with coding, insurance processes, liability, subrogation, coordination of benefits or workers' compensation claim adjudication. Satisfactory completion of continuing education courses to include medical terminology and coding within one year of hire. Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel classes required, or must demonstrate equivalent expertise. Requirements

  • College or technical school courses with emphasis on business, legal, or medical.
  • CSRP (Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional) designation from NASP (National Association of Subrogation Professionals) preferred.
