About The Position

If you answered yes, then you may have what it takes to be part of the Veterans Inc. team! We are looking for innovative staff for our licensed Substance Abuse Treatment programs, which are open to both veterans and the community. Our programs provide client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment within a therapeutic environment. This position collaborates as a part of an interdisciplinary treatment team within substance abuse treatment programs. The position provides guidance and counseling support as needed by overseeing and accompanying the patient in various program activities to ensure conformance with program schedules, standards, and policies. The hourly base rate starts at $20.00 an hour. There is a $2 shift differential for working 2nd or 3rd shifts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 2+ Years experience or education in substance abuse treatment and mental health disorders required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check.
  • Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a drug test.
  • Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
  • Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree, LADCII, or LADC Assistant highly preferred.
  • Yoga instruction, art therapy, or meditation training is strongly preferred.
  • MAP, Narcan, or CPI training and certifications are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the patient and treatment team to develop substance abuse treatment goals and interventions, based on client's substance abuse/mental health history and current needs.
  • Provides support, resources, education, and both internal and external referrals for services.
  • Oversees client activities to ensure compliance with program activities and agency policies.
  • Provides guidance as needed.
  • Facilitates psychoeducational client groups and group activities.
  • Provides crisis intervention and able to follow specific procedures in emergency situations.
  • Attends and participates in all meetings and maintains audit-ready patient records and program-specific forms in a timely manner, as required.
  • Completes individually assigned program-specific duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
