Responsibilities include monitoring daily client activities, assisting with direct care, documentation, orientation, and ensuring compliance with treatment plans and program rules. Requirements

  • Ability to observe, document, teach, and respond to client needs.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Must pass a CORI background check.
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid. Certifications must be completed within three (3) months of date of hire. Failure to obtain certification within the specified timeframe will result in termination of employment. Failure to maintain active certification status may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • For specific program assignments where Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification is required, must obtain MAP certification within six (6) months of date of hire. Failure to obtain MAP certification within the specified timeframe will result in termination of employment. Failure to maintain active certification status may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • For Awake Overnight: Must stay alert during overnight shifts, conduct room checks, conduct fire drills, and complete logs.
  • Driving Requirements: a. Faith House, Beryl’s House, and Orchard Street: Current valid US-issued driver’s license. b. For Adult Community Clinical Svcs (ACCS) Div: All programs require a current valid US-issued driver’s license and a registered, inspected, and insured automobile for work related purposed including transporting clients in a personal vehicle (or a company vehicle). c. Detox, TSS (Transitional Support Svcs), CSS (Clinical Stabilization Svcs), CCS (Community Crisis Stabilization), and ATS (Acute Treatment Svcs): Driving is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a residential counselor for assigned clients using recovery-oriented principles.
  • Assists with client admissions and intake, including documentation, orienting to program, inventory, and contraband searches in accordance with program policy
  • Implements and documents treatment plans and interventions in accordance with program policy and funder requirements.
  • Supports clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, budgeting, transportation, and relapse prevention.
  • Facilitates healthy menu planning, food shopping, and meal preparation.
  • In accordance with program model of medication administration and observation, monitors and documents medication usage, assists with refills and appointments, observes client behavior and alerts medical staff of concerns quickly, and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Maintains residence cleanliness and safety through daily chores and supervision.
  • Provides crisis intervention with clients as needed.
  • Provides behavioral coaching, support, and intervention as needed. Verbally engages with clients in a professional and supportive manner.
  • Leads skill development, psychoeducational, and therapeutic groups.
  • Maintains compliance with regulatory, licensing, agency, and industry training requirements. Completes renewal certifications prior to expiration. This includes, but is not limited to, any program specific requirements and certifications such as MAP, CPR, CPI.
  • Notifies supervisor of program deficiencies and reviews documentation for accuracy.
  • Answers phones and email professionally and documents relevant information.
  • Monitors client location and condition per program regulations.
  • Coordinates and facilitates recreational activities.
  • Mediates conflicts among clients.
  • Maintains client record.
  • Attends and participates in all required program meetings including (but not limited to) regular supervision and staff meetings.
  • Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
  • Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
  • Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
  • Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
